DESCRIPTION:Take a guided walking tour of Elora to discover the haunts and hangouts of some of the most notorious monsters that show themselves during October.  Day or night\, they are hanging out\, waiting for unsuspecting bystanders to look away for a second! \nMonster Month Tours | $10 person – Elora Distilling Company \nTOP HAT TOM\n  \n  \n\nEach of them has a backstory\, and we’ll share some of those hair-raising tales with you on our ramble.\nDuration is approximately one hour.\nFriendly\, well-behaved kids and dogs welcome – heh heh.  Monsters love the littles.\n$10 per person\nMax – 20 people per tour.\nThursday\, Friday\, Saturday evenings: 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm\nSaturday & Sunday mornings:  11:00 am – noon

DESCRIPTION:This is it – the best night to party down the street in your favourite getup!  \nIt’s the Monster March!\nThis free event is a great opportunity for the whole family to get in disguise\, pets included.  If you are walking in the parade\, dress for it!  Please keep it family-friendly as we invite all ages to walk with us or watch from the sidelines! \nEveryone rally at 1 MacDonald Square at 6 pm.   March starts at 6:30       Rain or Moonshine! \nWicked Wagons: You can also participate in the Wicked Wagon Contest and decorate a parade float from your wagon or stroller with your best spooky ideas to win one of 3 top prizes!  \nThe Sparrow’s Nest volunteers will be collecting donations for the Centre Wellington Foodbank along the parade route. We ask that parade participants and viewers please bring donations to help us combat food insecurity in our community. \nThe parade is followed by a “mini-mash” at Bissell Park for parade participants. \n\nWicked Wagon judging and awards\nGreat monster music\nFood booths\nSelfie / Photo Station\nMerch – yes\, souvenirs!  \n\nFREE

SUMMARY:Fergus Ghost Walk\, Saturday\, October 17
DESCRIPTION:Join our actors/historians as they lead you on a lantern walk and guided tour of the mysteries and histories of one of Canada’s most haunted villages. You’ll learn about the gristly end of the town clockmaster\, the bagpiper’s lament\, the famous doctor with a dark secret\, the legend of the Ancient Ones\, and many more captivating stories from the early days of Fergus. \nThe walk takes about an hour and a half and covers a good portion of downtown Fergus\, including a steep hill and some uneven ground. It could be challenging for people with mobility issues. Children are welcome\, but please be aware that it is not intended as a children’s event. Younger children will soon become bored. \nFergus Ghost Walks begin at the Bookery at 8:00 pm sharp. Tickets for the Ghost Walk are limited.
