Our veteran Twilight Zookeepers ensure the comfort, care and feeding of the monsters who
inhabit the ‘Zoo’. The beasties have been hibernating since early November. They’ve had a
long sleep through winter and spring, slumbering while the keepers checked in on them to
ensure they were safely tucked up, and chased away any would-be nibblers.

Its summer, and the Twilight Zookeepers and their team of hardy volunteers started grooming the creatures, repairing and spiffing up their nastiest features. Each one is examined, poked and prodded to be sure they are fit for fright. Apparently, the monsters love this pampering.
While they are groggily awake during their spa treatments, they quickly nod off afterward, storing energy for October, when they need it most.
Then they are tucked up again after the rigor of facials and body wraps, dreaming scary, silly dreams until the whiffs of autumn smoke draw them from their slumber.
